On the label of Modus the rose of the winds is intertwined with the elements which form the soul of a great wine:
the vine - the sun - the soil - the life - the time - the fruit - the manner - the wine
"This red is phenomenal on the nose, with blueberry, light toasty oak, coffee and sweet tobacco. The palate is full and utterly captivating, with its combination of fruit and very subtle, silky tannins. Goes on and on." (Wine Spectator)
In this special wine the Sangiovese from the Chianti hills encounters two international grape varieties which have found a new home in Tuscany, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Colour is ruby red with garnet hues. Aroma impact is austere and intriguing. The whole buquet is very complex, initially characterized by intense notes of mature fruit, such as cherries, plums and small black berries, that then fade into hints of spices, mint, sweet tobacco and refined balsamic notes on the finish.
At the palate it presents a full-bodied structure, that is enriched by the finesse of its silky tannins and exalted by remarkable pleasantness and freshness, a texture in which each varietal adds its own distinctive trait. The finish is incredibly persistent, with an aftertaste of black berry fruit and cocoa.
