The description

Created by the estate to forestall premature consumption of the estate’s flagship wine, Sassicaia, Guidalberto is the second label of Tenuta San Guido.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot kissed with Sangiovese, and one created in part from barrels made for Sassicaia, Guidalberto is a preferred drinking wine by many Bordeaux-blend-loving consumers who enjoy easy approachability in their wines. While not as introspective as Sassicaia, Guidalberto nonetheless shares the pedigree, quality and elegance of Sassicaia.

Dense, intense and vibrant, Guidalberto shimmers with bright red cherries and brambly blackberries, even as its tannins ripple like velvet. It’s a lovely operetta of a wine, strewn with roses, dusted with spice and blessed with a striking, extended finish.
